Following the huge success of the 2025 European Car Rally, Happy Days is gearing up for its next motoring adventure, this time across the UK. Taking place in October 2026, the rally will take participants through some of the country’s most scenic routes and iconic locations, all while raising money for a fantastic local charity.
We caught up with Ian Goodfellow from Torque to talk about cars, community and why this event felt like the perfect fit.
What made Torque want to get involved with A Right Grand Tour ’26?
“We’re car people, and this event is for car people. It’s a perfect match. You’ve got a group of enthusiasts coming together, doing something they love, while raising money for a really important cause. It just made sense for us.”
How does the rally align with Torque as a business?
“It reflects who we are. We’re passionate about cars, but we also genuinely care about our customers, our service and the community around us.
That passion runs through everything we do, whether it’s the vehicles we work with or the way we support people locally. Being part of something like this brings all of that together.”
What stands out to you about Happy Days as an organisation?
“The more we’ve got involved, the more we’ve realised just how important their work is.
There’s a lot happening in our local community that people don’t always see, a real level of need that often goes under the radar. The money raised through events like this genuinely makes a difference.
The team behind Happy Days are incredible. The organisation of this event is a great example, the attention to detail is really impressive.”
What are you most looking forward to about the rally?
“Honestly, the whole experience. The routes, the cars, the people. It’s going to be a great atmosphere.
More than that, it’s knowing that we’re all part of something bigger. We’re doing what we love, with like-minded people and raising money for a cause that really matters. You don’t get much better than that.”
Why should others get involved?
“If you’re into cars, this one’s for you. You’ll get an incredible driving experience, meet great people and be part of something that has a real impact. It’s not just a rally, it’s a chance to give back while having a genuinely brilliant time.”
