Architectural design firm ONE17 is a valued member of the Happy Days Foundation Club, which enables businesses and organisations to sign up to provide us with sustained financial support. We spoke to Caroline Lee about ONE17’s decision to join the Foundation Club.
How did you hear about Happy Days?
We’ve been following the charity’s progress for some time and we’ve been amazed at how they have grown, both in terms of the services they offer and the impact they make in the local community. We’ve been involved in a number of their events and our company has supported the charity in lots of ways but we were looking for a way to do more.
What made you decide to join the Foundation Club?
The transformation of Happy Days from a small charity to a highly effective operation that is helping to tackle the cost-of-living crisis head-on has been inspiring. We wanted to offer regular financial support to make it easier for the charity to plan strategically for the future.
Why is it important for ONE17 Charitable Trust to support charities like Happy Days?
We like to support charities where our contribution will make a tangible difference to people’s lives and where our support enables an organisation to become more self-sufficient. Charities with a clear purpose and vision like Happy Days are exactly the kinds of causes we want to help.
How would you describe Happy Days to other people who might be thinking about supporting us or joining the Foundation Club?
This is an amazing charity that helps people who are affected with homelessness by providing shelter, food and medical support. We hope that our support can enable the charity to continue their brilliant work and we would encourage anyone who would like to make a difference to people in our local area who are homeless or in crisis to consider becoming a Foundation Club member.
How do you see the partnership with Happy Days developing in the future?
We feel privileged to be part of the charity’s story and we can’t wait to see how their services evolve in the months and years ahead. We’re also thrilled to be using our architectural design expertise to help them with some exciting plans to transform their space and expand their services to meet the changing needs of the community in the future.
