What is a Community Champion?

  • You commit to hosting a food donation bin for 3 months
  • We give you a collection bin for your premises
  • Together we spread the word
  • Local people visit to drop off food items
  • We collect and replace the bin when it’s full

All our Community Champions receive a certificate as a thank you for taking part.

Become a Community Champion

By hosting a food donation bin you’ll be making a real impact on the lives of local families in need, helping us provide them with food and essentials that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. We’re looking for schools, businesses, churches and groups throughout the Halifax and the Calder Valley to take turns hosting a temporary food bin for 3 months where local people can drop off donations for our food banks.
